Arike Ogunbowale
Arike Ogunbowale (born 2nd April 1985) is an American professional basket ball player. She plays for Dallas Wings and the Women's National Basketball Association. She played in the NCAA basketball tournament with the Notre Dame Fighting Irish, before being drafted by the Wings with the fifth overall selection in the 2019 WNBA draft. Arike Ogunbowale, born in Milwaukee Wisconsin on March 2 1997. She was the second child of Yolanda Ogunbowale and Gregory Ogunbowale. She has two brothers Mario (26 and 26 years older) and Dare Ogunbowale (20 years old). Since she was the smallest of her siblings she was the most spoilt by her parents. Gregory, Gregory's father, worked in the Nigerian Army. Ogunbowale comes from a lively family. Her mother Yolanda played softball for DePaul as did her brother Dare. Dare has a career in football. Aunt Endia Oliver was a Volleyball player at Tennessee State and her niece played volleyball at UAPB. The name of Ogunbowale was included on the honour roll of her high school for three straight seasons. The school also recognized her for her accomplishments in high school with various accolades. Arike received her diploma from Divine Savior Holy Angels High School which is in Arike's hometown. She also played three seasons of varsity while she was studying there. Ogunbowale led her team to multiple wins thanks to her exceptional skills. In her high school career she's had an impressive 73 career starts and 1,477 points. She also lists 739 rebounds. Ogunbowale participated in the 2013 FIBA Americas U16 Championship 2014 FIBA U17 World Championship and 2013 FIBA 3x3 U18 Championship and was awarded Gold medals at both. The 7th of July 2014 was the day she was also named for the 2014 USA Youth Olympic Women's Basketball Team. Ogunbowale was also named to the ACC All-Freshman Team after her first season as a collegiate player. Kobe Bryant even thanked her for hitting multiple large shots in the NCCA Tournament. Ogunbowale may be new to basketball but she has already made herself known. According to sources, Arike Ogunbowale's net worth is thought to be about $5 million. Ogunbowale's not just a superb basketball athlete. She also excels in many different sports, too. Her other passions include soccer. She has won State Cup titles for Lake County United Soccer Club along with FC Milwaukee Soccer Club. She also studied piano for 7 years.
