Bill Self, a popular and wealthy Basketball Coach, was born in the city of Okmulgee Oklahoma on December 27th, 1962. Bill was worth a net of approximately $10 Million as on December 11, 2023. In 2013, he was appointed the Kansas coach of the most affluent freshman. He had been in charge of the Kansas coach since the year 2013. Following the rebuilding of his team, the Golden Eagles, Self was recruited by a crosstown rival Tulsa and spent three seasons (1998 to 2000) at Tulsa and compiled a Tulsa record of 74-27 mark. Self led TU's Golden Hurricane into consecutive NCAA Tournaments in 1999 & 2000. For the 1999-2000 seasons, in addition to breaking the school record in wins with an overall record of 32-5, Self led the Golden Hurricane to its first Elite Eight appearance. Coach of basketball on the college level who assisted Kansas University win an NCAA Championship. Naismith Colleges was his award in 2012. He was also awarded the Big 12 Coaches of the Year Award in the same year. In 1989, he got married to Cindy Self. Tyler as well as Lauren are his children. Self was raised in the Okmulgee area where his dad was the girls' basketball coach of Morris High School. Self was offered a scholarship in basketball to play in Oklahoma State University. All four of his years playing, he was an honor roll student. His school, Oklahoma State University awarded him a bachelor of business administration degree in the year 1985 and an MBA in Athletics Administration degree, in the year 1989.
